Joel and Janice Whitaker are partners in life’s journey as well as Weddings in Washington. They have a strong belief in marriage. Their core value is meeting the needs of their clients and helping to make your day as flawless as possible. Once hired, they are committed to you through the end.
Joel has been an ordained minister for more than 9 years. Over a short period of time, it was evident his joy and fulfillment came from participating in weddings. Seeing the bliss that comes from couples uniting their life is an experience he would like to participate in every day. Joel is no longer involved in a pastoral role in a church, but instead, is focused on his role to perform wedding ceremonies throughout Washington.
Janice works behind the scenes diligently by setting up appointments, book keeping, advertising, and other “office” functions. Janice is also available for the "day of" rehearsal & ceremony coordinator. Janice exhibits enthusiasm and tactfulness to work with all your vendors to ensure your wedding flows smooth and flawlessly. Her job is to work with the bride & grooms wishes and carry them out, so you and your family can be relaxed and truly enjoy this special day. Should you choose to add her services to hiring Joel to officiate, Janice can meet with you at your same meeting with Joel or a different date can be arranged.
Although they live in Spokane, almost every place is within range. Weddings in Washington has traveled to Hawaii, Iowa and Las Vegas for family member ceremonies. They also serve all counties in Washington State Pastor Joel has officiated over 200 weddings and Western Washington and tied for 4th place in BEST OF WESTERN WASHINGTON. Some of the most memorable ceremonies for Joel was when he officiated a ceremony at 2,500 feet in a hot air balloon. Weddings in Washington also enjoys small intimate ceremonies in your own home.
To get to know them more personally, you will find that Joel has completed over 40 marathons and they are both very proud of their three children and six grandkids. Joel is known for taking his grandkids on “shoulder rides.” Janice also gets pleasure from spending time with the grandkids. Joel and Janice also thoroughly enjoy entertaining and have formed a Snohomish Wine & Food Tasting Group and a Mazatlan Wine & Food tasting group for the times they spend in Mazatlan and the summer of 2010 looks forward to forming another Wine Tasting Group for the city of Spokane.
